Turning Leaves

This collection began with a found, hand-pressed leaves wallpaper from The Window, our design gallery neighbor on Melrose. Reminiscent of the two years our studio situated itself amidst the operatic seasons of the Hudson Valley, Turning Leaves brings the view from our window to center stage, its colors inspired by the life cycle of a day in the country, most poetically framed by the lyrics of Autumn Leaves:

The falling leaves, Drift by the window, The autumn leaves, All red and gold
I see your lips, The summer kisses, The sunburned hands, I used to hold.
Since you went away, The days grow long..., And soon I'll hear, Old winter's song,
But I miss you most of all, my darling, When autumn leaves start to fall...
